Hello,

Despite being able to use this many months ago with gnucash, I cannot get capital one direct connect working.  I confirmed with their online support that direct connect works with quickbooks, but I cannot get it working with gnucash/aqbanking, no matter what.

I choose this one:

Capital One Bank (after 12-15-13)

but it generates this:

0:12:29 Status for signon request: General error (Code 2000, severity "ERROR")
Error other than those specified by the remaining error codes. (Note: Servers should provide a more specific error whenever possible. Error code 2000 should be reserved for cases in which a more specific code is not available.)
20:12:29 Status for account info request: Signon invalid (Code 15500, severity "ERROR")
The user cannot signon because he or she entered an invalid user ID or password.
20:12:29 Operation finished, you can now close this window.

Despite using the same user/pass through the web.

What to do?

Hello,

I have a capital one business account, the login URL is:

https://www.capitalone.com/

where I choose "Banking."

Once logged in, I'm at:
banking2.capitalone.com/olb-web/accountSummary

I believe I should be using this one:
w w w .ofxhome.com/index.php/institution/view/802

According to tech support, but I cannot get it working, despite using the same username/password.

In ofxdirect connect user setup:

1. I have username and userid as my login id.
2. Do I need anything for client UID?  I tried generating a uid from a generator.
3. For bank settings, I have:

Capital One Bank (after 12-15-13)
FID: 1001
ORG: Capital One
and url: ofx.capitalone.com/ofx/103/process.ofx

For app settings, I choose quicken windows 2013.  And force SSL3.

When I try to retrieve accounts, it says:

00:50:12 Status for signon request: General error (Code 2000, severity "ERROR")
Error other than those specified by the remaining error codes. (Note: Servers should provide a more specific error whenever possible. Error code 2000 should be reserved for cases in which a more specific code is not available.)
00:50:12 Status for account info request: Signon invalid (Code 15500, severity "ERROR")
The user cannot signon because he or she entered an invalid user ID or password.

Some other times, it only gives me a 2000 before I changed some settings around.

Regardless, I can't login, no matter what.

I was told by tech support my account does support quickbooks direct connect, so I know this should work.  What do I need to do differently?

Thank you

Hello,

I thought this was specific to my capitalone account, but I see it's not.

Despite just upgrading to F21, I have the same problem, even after uninstalling/installing gnucash and aqbanking, and removing the config files for both.

1. I previously had an account working PERFECTLY with direct connect/aqbanking.  However, as I was trying to fix another account, when I edited it and saved it, it blanked the "bank code" and sets it to 00000000000.  It also doesn't save which emulated application is chosen, always showing "Select" after you reopen it after saving it.  Now I continue to get invalid user/pass with this account, no matter what.  I had it working fine yesterday.

2. Despite going into .aqbanking and editing the user directly and readding the bank code manually, I still get the same error when trying to fetch transactions(invalid user/pass).

The bottom line is, it seems any user I add/edit with aqbanking now no longer works, and the bank code resets to 0000000000000, and whatever emulation is chosen doesn't save.
